Anadarko Petroleum, one of BP's biggest partners has accused the latter of being unable to handle the drilling properly, slamming the entire cost on it.
Anadarko Petroleum is the owner of the Deepwater Horizon well. It right away refuted to take any of the complaints on it. It said that BP is solely responsible for the death of the 1 people due to the explosion.
Chairman and Chief Executive, Jim Hackett, said BP has been ignorant towards the drill progress.
BP's Chief Executive, Tony Hayward, who suffered the big round of questions coming in from the congress members on Thursday, said that the allegations are false.
He added that Jim's remarks are absolutely baseless.
The clash between the partners was sparked off by the estimations that the oil leak from the gulf will carry on over the next two years, despite the measures taken by the drillers.
The figures released by Hayward, show that the outcome will give way to fears looming large in the nation about the continual of the oil flow.
BP told that it is storing a rising volume of oil leaking from the gulf, looking forward to tame the spill by August.
"If it went on uncontrolled, it could certainly leak for two years and certainly longer than that", said Philip Johnson, a Professor of petroleum engineering.
