Federal Court removes Obama's ban on BPThe ban imposed by the Obama administration on the deep-water drilling activities of British Petroleum was struck down by one of the federal judges in the US.

He rebuked the step by stating that the decision would cause irreparable harm to businesses to the businesses which are close to the Gulf Coast.

BP had faced the ban on May 27 during an ongoing independent commission's investigation into the issue of oil spill. The incident has taken place 5,000 feet under the water and caused irreparable damage to the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig.

Meanwhile, the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar opposed the decision and supported the ban by saying that the order will eliminate "any doubt that a moratorium is needed, appropriate" and that the authorities can take some step.

While it is unclear as to what impact the decision made by US District Judge Martin Feldman of New Orleans, have on 33 rigs present in the Gulf Mexico; it is clear that it will raise the arguments.
