High Profile Investors Boost Pacific Fiber Link

High Profile Investors Boost Pacific Fiber LinkA designed high-speed fiber link between New Zealand, Australia and the US has been given an enhancement with the appearance of a number of high profile investors.

The line-up of friends and family of the original investment squad comprises of ex- Fairfax Chief Executive, David Kirk, investment Advisor, Gareth Morgan, Seaworks Chairman, Bill Day and MYOB Founder, Craig Winkler.

They join founders Sam Morgan, Sir Stephen Tindall and Rod Drury.

Kirk will also be taking a place in the panel.

The 13,000km Pacific Fiber project hopes to offer an international data link that has five times more the capacity of the current Telecom-backed connection.

Co-founder and newly appointed Chief Executive, Mark Rushworth, said the funding helps the project to move to the subsequent chapter of keeping investment safe.

Rushworth said that the money that has been raised does not cover the total build. The thing that it does is to get through the customer involvement to get contract and also, the involvement of an investment bank.

A management squad that comprises of Rushworth, member investors, Lance Wiggs, telecommunications Specialist, John Humphrey and Australian-based Sales Director, Mark Kuper, all have been meeting with potential customers.

Rushworth said the response has been optimistic with consumers seeing it as a method of driving contest into the market.
