FarmVille, the crazily popular video game has officially hit the App Store; and is now available for Apple’s iPhone, including the newly-released iPhone 4; the iPod Touch; and the iPad.

The availability of the FarmVille for iPhone app will essentially help all FarmVille users round the world to migrate using the app while ‘on the go’; and in situations when they may not be having their laptops or PCs at hand. According to the details forwarded by the FarmVille creator Zynga, the FarmVille for iPhone app will be fairly similar to the app on Facebook. Moreover, the FarmVille profiles of the users will transfer seamlessly between their computer and their Apple devices; thereby allowing them to continue building their farm even ‘on the go.’

Noting that the FarmVille for iPhone app will essentially bring the popular game in the palm of the users’ hands, Zygna said in a recent press release: “The FarmVille App offers users a new social gaming experience that leverages the power of the touch screen. By swiping a finger or double tapping to zoom in and out, players can view their farms, harvest crops or drive tractors.”

While the social media game thus far ran only inside Facebook and Yahoo, Zygna added that the game’s iPhone version will also include alerts to the iPhone users about the status of their crops and farm via push notifications.
