One of India’s leading IT Companies, Wipro has managed to beat other international Companies to emerge as the winner of the 2010 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award for India.

The Company was chosen from a wide international field of top Microsoft partners across the world. It was chosen for offering cutting edge customer solutions using technology provided by Microsoft. The news was confirmed by Wipro in a press release.

Wipro stressed that by winning this award, the role of its advanced technology, innovation and capabilities has been recognized. Wipro stressed that this award will further encourage the Company to work harder.

Microsoft’s Corporate Vice-President (Worldwide Partner Group), Allison Watson also praised Wipro and its role in providing cutting edge services to customers by using high levels of innovation.

Watson stressed that Companies in rowing economies like India had an important role to play in developing new solutions for customers. The awards will be presented for various categories and almost 3,000 Companies across the world were vying for them.

Wipro's VP and Business Head also felt happiness for wining this award and stressed that Wipro is one of the largest Companies providing consulting, architecting and implementing innovative solutions on Microsoft platforms across the world.
