A recent report has revealed that aviation industry in New Zealand has increased in the last few years. The industry worth $10 billion is expected to grow more in the coming years.
The aviation sector in the country includes over 1000 organizations. The revenue collected by the aviation industry was $9.7 billion last year and interestingly, this revenue was generated from the domestic market only.
According to the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise report, the smaller businesses could not take part in the export ventures, as there was not a good response from united New Zealand Inc.
The report also showed that if funding and developmental strategies from the Government are coordinated in a better way, the sector will certainly draw better profits.
The aviation sector has created high-value products and jobs in the country and also, the growth of 9.5% in a year during last five years.
"In areas as diverse as training, aircraft design, airport systems and advanced rocket technology we find New Zealand companies exporting successfully into the global market", said Wayne Mapp, Associate Economic Development Minister.
He also said that the industry is going in the right direction to face the market driven challenges.
