Now Gumboots to Power Mobile Phones

Now Gumboots to Power Mobile PhonesA company had developed a new variety of gumboots that are capable of converting heat generated from the user's feet to generate sufficient power to charge a mobile phone. Gumboots are used by most of the people, who go for camping and for any rough outdoor activity. They help in keeping feet warm and safe even in harsh conditions.

These revolutionary gumboots called Wellingtons were unveiled by European telecom Company, Orange. They have been developed in partnership with renewable energy Company, GotWind.

The designers of these boots claim that the energy generated by these boots is stored, which allows a user to charge his mobile phone after having a walk in the woods.

It is expected that twelve hours of walking will give a user enough power to charge their mobile phone for one hour. This is done by plugging the mobile phone into an outlet at the top of the gumboot.

In order to produce more energy, people are being advised to first warm their feet as the hotter your feet becomes, the more energy will be produced.

Dave Pain, Managing Director of GotWind stressed that Orange Power Wellington boots not only keep a user's feet warm, but also help in providing an eco-friendly power solution.

These boots were displayed by Orange at Britain's Glastonbury Music Festival.
