Postie Plus Being Optimistic after Slowdown in SalesPostie Plus Group remains optimistic after it had experienced a slowdown in sales in May and June.

The group says it is outperforming other apparel dealers. Kathmandu founder Jan Cameron who operates Postie Plus and Babycity stores, owns 18% of the Company.

At the end of April, the company was attaining a 7% increase on the previous year. Today it said that sales increase for year end is expected to be 4.5%, which is four weeks away.

According to Chief Executive Ron Boskell, a slowdown in May and June was seasonal and due to hot weather.

"When it is warm people do not buy thermals and fleece. Money might have gone onto a book or televisions, we don't know," said Mr. Boskell.

He said that last year in May weather was good and sales had ascended 22%. The company was chasing a strong year-ago number.

Mr. Boskell is happy with the Company's sales and they have already experienced a good sale during this week.

In the month of June, sales were increased by 2% on a strong year-ago figure.

The company has been informing shareholders for some time about the reduced cost of its vehicles. Along with that, they have been telling the shareholders about their improved market, invested in better fitting and appealing apparel.
