Great Yarmouth's Relay for Life Later this Month

Great Yarmouth's Relay for Life Later this MonthCandle of Hope occasion at the Great Yarmouth's Relay for Life, to be marked in the later part of July, will include a number volunteers lighting and displaying candles for paying homage to their friends and relatives who died due to cancer.

The volunteers will walk around the camp in the afternoon, till the evening. As soon as the evening will approach, they will start lighting the candles till early morning.

They will arrange the candles around the walking space to carve tributary messages for the cancer patients who died.

The team members will also suggest the people to donate money, in order to raise funds for the cause of those who are battling the disease.

The event has been scheduled to commence at around 9.30pm on Saturday i. e., July 24.

The ceremony saw the volunteers taking a break from walk, only when the Candle of Hope ceremony was being carried out.

All those who want to share their thoughts would be invited over the stage. They would be allowed to display messages of their own choices.

The charity aims to raise at least £42,000, this time at the event.

Ann Walsh, volunteer Chairman of Relay For Life, said, "I am very hopeful that we can beat last year's total, despite the recession".
