Despite the immense popularity of the streaming TV site Hulu. com, the recently-released Hulu Plus app for the Apple devices has already run headlong into user complaints - the chief one among them being the cost of the app.
For the premium Hulu Plus app, the users have to pay a $10 per month subscription, which enables them to access a complete range of TV series and movies, instead of the present online sampling of five episodes for one show.
In the opinion of a number of Hulu users, the cost of the premium Hulu Plus app is fairly high. Moreover, what is more infuriating is the fact that the frequency of the ads for subscribers is the same as that for the online viewers of free shows.
However, Hulu aficionados who have used the service are all praise for it - especially as Hulu Plus runs extremely well and boasts strong signal even when the iPhone and iPad are glutted on data and Wi-Fi.
Nonetheless, there are a few occasional glitches that reportedly emerged during the testing of the Hulu Plus app. The main problems that cropped up include sporadic signal interruptions even with reliable 3G and Wi-Fi; pixelated and choppy video quality; and the sudden stopping and restarting of the app.
Some users also wish that Hulu Plus could have included a way to download content for later viewing.
