July 2 was Action Mesothelioma DayOn Friday, the 2nd of July, the British Lung Foundation raised awareness of asbestos-related diseases by helping in promoting Action Mesothelioma Day.

Mesothelioma is a cancer which develops in the chest and lungs. It is known to develop after one is exposed to asbestos but diagnosis can be postponed by between 15 and 60 years.

The BLF crusade for 2010 focuses on DIY in the home and maintains its aim to educate how easily people can upset asbestos that was brought into use in the construction, when renovating or getting your house constructed.
