Going by some reports, the Android-based news Samsung Galaxy S (I9000) smartphone is apparently a much better handset than even the Apple iPhone 4; and, therefore, has pretty bright chances of becoming an astounding success!
Featuring a 4-inch screen that boasts AMOLED Super type technology, the Samsung Galaxy S provides nearly five times more brightness than most of the other handsets. In addition, it also provides better contrast and viewing angles in a smaller space, and is notably more energy efficient than its competitors.
The mDNIe technology incorporated in the Samsung Galaxy S results in exceedingly clear images that particularly prop up the handset’s advantage in terms of its functionality related to reading of e-books.
The new Samsung Galaxy S is powered by the 2.1 version of the Google Android operating system, and the processor of the handset is capable of handling information at 1 GHz speed – which is nearly three-fold more than the speed of the other smartphones, including the iPhone.
Among the other notable features of the Samsung Galaxy S are – a 5-megapixel camera that can record 720p quality video at 30 frames per second; 8GB built-in storage; Bluetooth 3.0; Wi-Fi; nearly 750 hours standby battery time; and codecs for reading the video recorded in DivX, XviD, MPEG4, MP4, AVI and FLV.
