LG has now decided to step into the tablet device market, proclaiming its plans of launching an Android-enabled tablet later this year.
Experts are speculating the possibility of the LG following HP in the move. LG has shared that it is aiming to develop a tablet PC to run via the Android mobile OS.
The Apple iPad player will be loaded with Android 2.2. There is likelihood that it will be launched by the current fiscal year.
The announcements have come a month after the company unveiled Computex, a prototype of the UX10 tablet.
The tablet is equipped with a 10.1 inch touchscreen, Atom Z530 processor and 1 GB of RAM. When compared with Apple iPad, LG UX10 surpasses the Apple device showing off a 1.3 megapixel camera, an SD memory card slot as well as HDMI output.
In addition, the tablet posses a 120 GB hard drive, running on Windows 7 Home Premium desktop Operating System.
A variety of range emerging in the tablet device sector has given way to immense competition and advancement in the technology.
When the PC users demand a touchscreen device which has the capability of serving functions of conventional desktop, Apple has reintroduced the tablet in the form of media consumption devices.
