BP Assures a Steady-Paced Oil Retrieval

BP Assures a Steady-Paced Oil RetrievalThe British Petroleum has been in hot water due to the sudden oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. However, this leak is now under control and the flow of the oil to the water is being limited.

The public pressure exerted on British Petroleum to contain the leak began in April when the underwater well started “spewing” oil to the water. Nevertheless, BP managed to retrieve 12,215 barrels of the leaked oil during the first
12 hours of Tuesday. Scientists estimated that between 35,000 to 60,000 barrels are flowing out of the damaged oil well every day. BP announced that it will recover the oil at a rate of 53,000 barrels on daily-basis.

Program Logic Controllers from BP assured the steady retrieval of the oil and the connection of more vessels to collect the oil in less than half the time estimated to finish the process.

After the oil leak incident, British Petroleum has lost half of the value of its shares in the American stock market, marking the decline to 0.2% every hour.

U. S. Senator, Bill Nelson said that specialists are now studying the effect of the oil on the water, with anticipation that the water microbes might actually consume the underwater oil and limit the action of the oil as a pollutant.
