Google May Resume Services in China

Google May Resume Services in ChinaGoogle has announced that they can continue providing their search services to people in China. Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Eric Schmidt was surprised after getting the license because, according to him, there were no formal discussions between Google and officials of China. They look forward to provide web search services and local products to the users over there.

There was a chance for Google to win the lost shares about the leader of the market, i. e. Baidu Inc., and put the half year’s disagreement to an end. Some of Google’s operations were at risk because they put at an end to the censorship rules furiously, which were required to filter the web contents of the company.

The license of Google in China was still at risk. Their license was renewed through 2012 and the officials were required to revisit the decision at regular intervals.

According to Sandeep Aggarwal, who is an analyst at Caris & Co. in San Francisco, the Government of China can still snatch the license from Google.

As Google closed its search engine in March, so its users were automatically directed to the unfiltered sites of Hong Kong. They added an obstacle in the way of Chinese web surfers to put them to the landing page that ends up turning them to Hong Kong site.

The decision of China may affect the people who supported the company by lighting candles outside the office. It was estimated that there were 384 users of Internet at the end of year 2009 and they expect the enormous growth in it. Google had been out of the Chinese market after losing its license.
