According to the Federal authorities, the Southern California pot ring leader along with 11 other members of the ring has been arrested under the charges of selling millions of pots from the medical marijuana dispensaries this Sunday.
Joshua John Hester, the leader, was nabbed from his residence at West Hollywood on Friday, San Diego Union-Tribune said.
Though the Federal Government has legalized the use of medical marijuana under severe circumstances, it doesn’t allow the non-substantial use of the herb.
The name of the leader was unveiled on Friday following the disclosure of the Federal court. Of the 12 arrests, two were observed in Los Angeles County and five in San Diego.
The authorities scrutinized as many as 14 clinics in September, in addition to two dispensaries held by Hester. At one of the dispensaries, the investigators discovered two hidden rooms wherein the illegitimate growth of the pot was spotted.
The alleged offenders are likely to be brought to the federal court this week.
Hester has been alleged to possess the property rights of Green Kross Collective, which is a medical marijuana dispensary and Downtown Kush Lounge in downtown San Diego.
