The technology site Fudzilla predicts that Google's Android Market will soon surpass the 100,000 application mark.

At present Android Market boasts of 90,000 applications, as per the statistical analysis performed by Android news website Androlib.

It was also stated that if the Android market continues to surge at this rate the site will soon be offering 100,000 applications by the end of the month.

The graph of Android Market growth has been spectacular from last year. Initially the store came up with only 7,000 applications in 2009. Six months ago down the site was up with 25,000.

The present standing states that the site is witnessing a flood of applications in the store.

The previous month, saw 15,288 applications were uploaded in the store and it is stated that the number shall rise this month.

Apple at the moment is the leader of the mobile application market with 225,000 applications available to users of its iTunes App Store, but with this rate of expansion it wouldn't be long when Android would take over Apple.
