New Zealand Farming Systems Uruguay has appointed Grant Samuel & Associates in order to get an evaluation of the acquisition offer for Olam International, a Singapore-based Company. The dairy farms developer based in South America has suggested its share holders that they should not take any step, till the time statement from the target company is received.
Olam International deals in the supply of agriculture products and food components. The Company on Tuesday had proposed an offer to NZFSU at 55 cents for per share. This offer values NZFSU at $134 million.
Olam had taken 14.4% stake in NZFSU in the September 2009. In the process of this take over, the Company has signed an agreement with PGG Wrightson to take over 11.5% share of NZFSU.
The shares of NZFSU are at 54 cents per share today.
