Air New Zealand informed about its business in June. The airline has reported an increase of 7.5% in the number of passengers it carried as compared to the number of passengers in June last year.
In this June, 1.1 million passengers traveled by Air New Zealand. The passenger load factor in the same period also increased by over three points, it reached to approximately 80%.
The airline has reported an increase of about 8% in the number of short-haul passengers, while the increment in long-haul was nearly 5%.
The revenue passenger kilometers of the airline have risen by 5.8 % as compared with the last year.
The Company noticed the decline of 3% in its capacity for Tasman; on the other hand, flights to Japan, Asia and the United Kingdom reported the increase of 10% in the demand and capacity. The number of passengers carried for domestic flights increased by 10.2% in June.
However, other figures in the fiscal are reported to be on a decline, as the number of passengers was less by 0.4% at 12.32 million. The revenue passenger kilometer also dipped by 4.7%. Yields derived by short-haul and long-haul passengers slashed by 5.4% and 10.7%, respectively.
After the announcement, Air New Zealand market stocks climbed to $ 1.13 by an increase of 1 cent.
