The Company’s 1448 MW Huntly thermal power station is capable of producing almost 20% of total energy in the country.

At present, the Company has the possession of 8.65 megawatt Hau Nui wind farm based in southern Wairarapa.

It had been eyeing the Castle Hill farm from 2009. Gensis has finalized the deal with 27 land owners. The site includes two district borders and two regional council borders.

Albert Brantley, Chief Executive has declared that earlier the plan was for generating 400 MW only. He also said that this project would be built in several stages. He has provided this information through an email.

The Company aims at constructing renewable energy generation of 300MW by the year 2015.
