Fat Men short of Bedroom Confidence

Fat-MenA new study conducted by UK researchers reveal that men are just as likely to suffer 'fat days' feeling less confident about their appearance and suffering from low self esteem.

According to a survey of more than 5,000 men some 34% say that feeling unattractive gives them less confidence to initiate sex with their partner.

Nearly 1 in 6 men agree that low self esteem about their appearance impacts on their confidence in bed, and more than a quarter would consider losing weight to boost their bedroom performance.

Sex and relationship expert Tracey Cox said that men are often reluctant to get help for sexual health problems so it’s really encouraging to see the provision of an online surgery, where they can seek advice in total confidence and in an environment they feel comfortable in anonymous and online. He added that Men should not be suffering in silence; there is lots of help out there, offering real solutions to improving sexual confidence and performance.

Pfizer, a health company launched Man MOT (Monday Opportunity to Talk) in partnership with leading UK health organizations, for men who lack the confidence or time to visit their GP for tackling such issues.

Dr Berkeley Phillips, Medical Director at Pfizer said that there are a lot of men out there avoiding their GP completely, leaving health issues untreated until they require immediate medical attention and this may lead to serious medical conditions going undiagnosed.

Man MOT will run open surgery sessions every Monday hosted by qualified GPs, with a series of specialist sexual health clinics. Men will have the opportunity to seek advice on any health issues they may be concerned about and browse a range of health publications online.
