According to a recent report, Abano Healthcare has declared its profit for the year, which ended in May, to be $4.4 million.
However, the profit of the specialist medical Company has witnessed a reduction of 50% as compared to the previous year.
The reason behind it is the alterations in the ACC and the sale of its Bay Audiology venture in New Zealand in last November.
The net revenue for this year stood at $178.1m. The profits as well as the revenue were in accordance with the estimates of the Company, which it revealed in March.
The Company is now keen on expanding its audiology business in Australia and Asia, while it is focusing on growth of its dental trade in New Zealand and Australia.
Alison Paterson, the Chairwoman of the Company, revealed that New Zealand continues to be their strong geographical base.
She added that the income obtained from overseas ventures is likely to rise by 35% of the net income, in the year 2011.
The total dividend paid by the Company will become similar to the previous year, i.e. 21% per share, after it makes the final payment of 13.7 % per share in August 17.
