Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has stated to revamp the streaming video client for the PS3.
The update will be released soon before the company's third quarter earnings that are aimed to be launched by October. It will rule out the needs of having a disc. Apart from this a user can continuously update the interface as the Netflix Watch Instantly UI is revamped.
Netflix continues to surge based solely upon the increasing line of offerings for streaming to computers, set-top boxes, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles & other similar devices.
With respect to Q2 results it was stated that year on year subscriber growth has soared to an impressive 42%, which according to Hastings is tainted to be a increase growth pattern in case of streaming devices.
Despite the increase in shipment status the devices are continuously being substituted by streaming more quickly than Netflix had ever projected.
Netflix also aims to expand its streaming service into Canada and did not disclose any details whatsoever of the launch date.
