Research in Motion has settled to give the commanding hand to Indian security agencies to keep a watch on its Blackberry services, as reported by The Economic Times on Tuesday after the Government showed apprehensions in relation to the security of the nation.
The technical codes of RIM will be given to Indian security agencies for corporate email services, so that they can access all consumer emails in 15 days and alongside, develop tools within six to eight months, so as to permit monitoring chats.
The newspaper also said that RIM, on Tuesday, would offer additional details on its proposals to the Ministry of Indian Telecom.
A Spokesperson from RIM did not offer any comment on the same almost immediately whilst a Spokesperson from the telecom industry was not available for giving a stance, again in the similar regards.
On Monday, RIM took an oath to satisfy all the security requirements of the customers, as well as the Government, which is a day after the United Arab Emirates announced that it would discontinue the services that Blackberry users enjoy in the nation.
The decision made by the Government was made after it found that messaging data is encrypted, which could not be accessed by the Governmental authorities, hence, increasing the risk of terrorizing activities and vulnerability of the nationalistic data.
