Unemployment Figures Mark a Surprise Rise

jobless peopleThe job figures released today have shed light on soaring employment issues. The current employment scenario reveals that unemployment is marking an unexpected rise.

The data has shown that the number of jobless people have marked a climb of 19,000 during the June quarter, touching 159,000. It reflects that nearly 6.8% of the workforce is unemployed.

However, the figures are not very disappointing, but the job sector seems to be faltering, as no new jobs are emerging. Besides, there are some sectors where no new jobs have been created and no jobs have been lost.

The employment figures are cited to show fluctuation in the coming months, outlines David Lowe, of the Employers and Manufacturers Association.

He added, “The fact that business is still feeling a little bit volatile, fluctuating, and feeling a little bit uncertain about what the future holds that does suggest we will see unemployment figures be up and down for quite some time to come”.

The unemployment has been trembling from 5% in 2009, rising up to 7.1% in December and then relaxing a bit to 6% in March. Now, the figure has shot up to 6.8%.

Economists have claimed that the job sector is definitely not showing an improvement as compared to the economic recovery.
