The drop and drag feature is only available on Google Chrome. This feature will help users to drag and drop the attachments just with the help of mouse.
Maintaining its spree of constantly facilitating its users, Google again had come up with a new feature of "drag and drop to save". The drag and drop feature will help users to save files.
Any file ranging from an image to .txt can be easily saved from the mail box to any desired location just by dragging and dropping it to the preferred location and the files get copied there, automatically. This feature is not available even in Firefox 3.6.8.
The availability of this feature on Internet Explorer and Firefox is still doubtful. However, this feature is now available with Chrome.
Gmail already has the facility, which helps in adding attachments through drop and drag option.
Users just have to bring the cursor to the attachment icon and then easily drag it to their desktop or anywhere else, where they want to save it. On bringing the cursor near the desired attachment, "Click to view OR drag to your desktop to save" dialogue will appear just below the icon.
This new feature works in both the directions, from the computer and to the computer.
