David Jones, Department store has set up a hotline for its staff members, where they can send in their complaints in regards to being a victim of harassment at their workplace.
Bob Savage, Chairman is of the say that the most recent measures that have been taken are a straight consequence of sexual harassment assertions that had been made by ex-store worker, claiming that ex-CEO, Mark McInnes had misbehaved with the concerned ex-employee.
Kristy Fraser-Kirk came up with a $37 million sexual harassment suit against the firm, since she disliked the way her privacy had been devoured by her senior.
While working for the NSW Police Force, she gave in a complaint regarding her personal space being invaded by her superior staff member.
Independent lawyer has been appointed by the store to tackle any future staff complaints that may arise.
The new complaints that are sent in by employees will be handled through a different process from the firm's internal structure to make sure there is enough transparency existing in the system.
If any complaints involve any senior members' name of the staff, the Board of Directors will be given information about it at the earliest, as informed by some source.
