Business NZ Demanding Players to Promote Innovation in the Nation

Phil O ReillyBusiness NZ is toiling to make realize the Government and research institutes to talk about the importance of capital in the encouragement of innovation in New Zealand.

Business NZ Chief Executive, Phil O'Reilly, while speaking at the High Tech Innovations event at Te Papa in the previous week, said that the Government had done a great job at encouraging 'front end' innovation and research in the nation.

But, he said that at the moment, it was the public and the private sectors that needed to channelize their attention towards bringing innovation in the market, with understanding the role of funds and it should be the next big topic of discussion for all.

In the previous week, the Government announced that it would guarantee an added $40 million on the expansion of the NZ venture Investment Fund, which saw a support coming from Business NZ.

Mr. O'Reilly said the High Tech networking event that was sponsored in collaboration with Business NZ and the Tertiary Education Commission was one more step ahead in the right direction to walk in.

Business NZ as well joined the Foundation of Science, Technology and Research for a recent workshop cycle discussing with businesses about the alterations to be brought in the financial plans.
