What happens when the two stalwarts enter into a war? Well the recent news is that in order to beat its arch rival- Facebook, Google is secretively working on developing its new social networking giant called Google Me.

The search giant rumours of coming up on social platform spread in air from last month.

And to fulfil its social media ambitions the company has even acquired a social application company named Slide. But as per the industry analyst the company will have to add a little more social media expertise to its portfolio before calling it off a war against Facebook.

While on one hand Google is busy mulling ways to emerge on the social platform, the leader in the social domain is not sitting idle either.

As the Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg has come up with announcements of "lockdown" for the company for a period of next 60 days. This is a time when the company's office will remain open even on weekends also and it will also revamp the Photos, Groups, and Events during this time.

So much so that the chief of the company has even put neon sign saying "Lockdown" on his office door like his earlier days.
