Honda Motor Co has informed that it has decided to recall more than 428,000 vehicles in US and Canada. After Toyota, it will be another chapter of disaster of another leading auto maker worldwide. As per the company officials, the decision had been taken for the safety of the vehicles at the time of parking.
There was a defect that could cause the cars to roll away in the case of improper and incorrect parking. Honda has informed that in certain situations a part known as the ignition interlock lever in the vehicle could fail and may trouble the driver.
The major and popular brands of the company will be included in this recall. Brands like Accord, Civic will be recalled in these countries after the detection of this issue.
Element models from the 2003 and 2004 model years in the United States form Hero Honda will be recalled. The company officials have said that the recall includes 384,220 vehicles in US and Canada. In Canada, the company has recalled its popular model Acura 1.7ELs as well.
