There is no denying to the fact that the largest home-grown auto major, Tata Motors purchased the two luxury brands from Ford Motor Company i. e. Jaguar and Land Rover at a staggering high price but the company is very much sure of a smooth way ahead for the two luxury brands.
In fact, the CEO of the venture has recently said that the company plans to start assembling Land Rover vehicles in India from next year, where it already sells the vehicles. It is to be mentioned here that the company is also in talks for assembly line operations in China.
Moreover, the Chairman of the company, Ratan Tata recently said in the company's annual report that it is also planning to bring in an entry-level model, a station wagon and a roadster model into the JLR portfolio.
For the uninitiated, Tata Motors is the country's leading manufacturer of trucks and buses with about two-thirds market share in its back pocket.
Moreover, the company also makes utility vehicles such as the Safari, Tata Magic and Winger and cars such as the ultra-cheap Nano, Tata Indica and the premium sedan Indigo Manza in the Indian market.
