As Telecom recently expressed that it would cope up with technical issues which caused its new mobile network to interfere with Vodafone's service, Vodafone has nodded its head in yes to abandon legal proceedings against Telecom Corp., New Zealand's largest listed company.

It was put forward by Telecom that the agreement indicated that the novel network could enter into operation by the end of the month.

A legal action was taken by Vodafone with the aim to put a stop on an original May 13 launch date, noting the ability of its own customers to make phone calls was being affected by interference from the network.

Via an official statement, Telecom informed that in order to help resolve the interference issues identified as impacting Vodafone mobile customers, it has decided to extend its network filter installation programme.

GSM-based technology is utilized by the NZ$574 million ($336 million) network, which Telecom has branded "XT", quite same to Vodafone's, while its existing network uses the less-common CDMA technology.
