The fans of Plastic Logic might not be that elated with the service as they are constantly being pushed back after proclaiming of Que, the e-reader in February at the CES event.
The people who were given a release date of April was pushed back to March and then again in June irritating the would-be owners who pre-ordered the units in February itself.
Plastic Logic pronounced that they soon be ripping of all the plans for the Que due to soaring competition offered by Apple, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
The Que was aimed with a business perspective and was priced at $650 for the 4GB/Wi-Fi model and $800 for the 8GB/Wi-Fi/3G version. The e-reader sported a 10.7-inch screen, and came with a built-in support for Microsoft Office documents also for the PDFs.
Plastic Logic CEO, Richard Archuleta stated: "This was a hard decision, but is the best one for our company, our investors and our customers. We recognize the market has dramatically changed, and with the product delays we have experienced, it no longer makes sense for us to move forward with our first generation electronic reading product."
The market experts state this to be a wise decision. In any case as it the first-generation e-reader comes for $650 and the present second-gen e-reader comes for $139.
