Anna’s Presence at Labor Campaign—a Political Question

Anna-BlighA major political question spiraling over is whether Premier Anna Bligh will be witnessed at the speakers stand-post at the Labor campaign launch to be held in Brisbane on Monday.

With many citing that she can give it a miss, however, thinking realistically, she ought to show up there.

In addition, many thougt that if Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett appeared and showered words at the Liberal launch in Brisbane last weekend, Queensland’s Bligh can never think of giving it a miss this Monday.

However, one cannot deny the fact that campaign launches do not always bear guarantees.

The main issue with Premier Bligh is that Anna can’t get rid of her old habit of throwing mocking remarks. Besides, her habit is witnessed to widen and just like Kevin Rudd there are not many hopes that she can efficiently lead Labor to the next election.

The Labor witnessed a small plunge in Queensland under Premier Bligh following the state poll held the previous year. The state which backed the Rudd Government’s election in 2007 has now posed up as a question mark.

Presently, Liberals seem to be completely prepared to lose their ACT Senate seat, which is cited to pave an easy way for Greens to gain a major hand in the upper house.
