Tony Hawk: Shred to be Released Soon; Targets Kids

Tony HawkTony Hawk series of computer game, being produced by Activision, and endorsed by professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, is now turning itself to a more of kid-friendly game rather being realistic. The main series Tony Hawk: Ride, released in 2009, had been considered terrible; but the productions are now all set to introduce another game, Tony Hawk: Shred, which will optimize more use of skateboard control.

This game will also target kids as Ride was most popular amongst them. But the new Shred will include both skateboarding and snowboarding that’ll make its entry really interesting. It’ll largely feature renowned skateboarders and snowboarders, such as Tony Hawk, Corey Duffel, David Gonzalez, Travis Rice, and Torah Bright.

A demo of Shred in action had been experienced by Joystiq, which shared that the game is designed to be more of cartoon-like experience both in its art, as well as in its game play. Thus, young players will be thrilled to experience the sensation of the stunts in this game that do not give any sense of realism. The players can jump off huge infrastructures, leaving behind craters on the ground while they land.

Shred will be available in formats PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and will cost $59.99.
