According to the official report, the retail sales of US has grown up in the month of July after facing two months of fall in a row. The US Commerce Department has said the total retail sales of US climbed up by 0.4% in July as compared to the previous month.
The retail sales raised mainly because of the sharp rise in car sales and without car sales the overall retail sales grew by 0.2%.
The US retail sales are considered as the key indicator of the status of economy of the country as the consumer spending holds about 70% of the US economy. The total sales in the month of July counted to 362.7 billion dollars and that figure was 5.9% higher than the figure of retail sales of the same period of time of last year.
The new car sales and the car parts sales grew up b y 1.6% as compared to the previous month in June, the fuel sales also climbed up by 2.3% from the previous month. But most importantly, at the same time, sales of other areas like electronics, clothing and furniture have fallen down drastically.
