In a photograph released by the White House, the US President Barack Obama and his daughter were having a swim in the Gulf waters at Alligator Point of Florida to confirm the safety of the water after the huge BP oil spill.
According to the White House, the President and his family are on a trip to Panama City and the main aim of the trip is to bring back the confidence of public for the Gulf beaches and resorts.
The resorts have seen so much cancellation due to the oil spill even at the peak time of school holidays.
The President and his family were playing mini golf and having a boat trip in St Andrews Bay in search of dolphins. White House has also released a single photograph of Mr. Obama and his daughter swimming in the water, which was taken by the official photographer Pete Souza.
After that, the President has said that the beaches are now totally clean and open for business. He has also added that the coastal states had lost around 23 billion dollars as the industry was hit by the huge oil spill of Gulf of Mexico.
