Research In Motion has been given a deadline of 31 August to offer an access to the Indian Government to send texts via BlackBerry devices, or might have to face suspension.
Indian Government agencies have announced a closed-door meeting with telecom provider BSNL to talk of ban. The meeting reported to be a disaster, as the Guardian reported.
An official from the firm said, "The meeting was inconclusive. No decision has been taken and we will hold further talks soon."
It is stated that the encrypted BlackBerry services, that speaks of Instant messaging, e-mails, SMS, and web browsing come as threat to most of the national securities and is estimated to be one of the plausible reasons for an attack in Mumbai 2008.
The Indian security agencies have given a warning to RIM to come up with a mid way solution or else the Canadian based firm will be suspended.
