Samsung Galaxy S handsets – attractive on the surface, plush under the hood! With more and more handsets running the Google Android operating system, giving the phones a distinctive edge over the others is becoming increasing difficult for the manufacturers. However, the feat has been impressively accomplished by Samsung via its three Galaxy S line of smartphones!

These three smartphones of the Galaxy S line- the already-released T-Mobile's Samsung Vibrant, and AT&T's Samsung Captivate; and the yet-to-come Sprint's Samsung Epic 4 - are attractive on the surface and plush under the hood.

Featuring bright and crisp screens, the Galaxy S line of smartphones also boast 5-megapixel cameras that are also capable of taking high-definition videos; the speedy Hummingbird 1 GHz processors; and version
2.1 of the easy-to-use Android OS.

Another compelling feature of each of the Galaxy S phones is Swype - a new third-party app that allows users to type on virtual keyboards by simply swiping their finger around from one letter to the next.

Furthermore, the Android OS version 2.1 allows users to access features like voice-recognition capabilities that allow them to dictate e-mails and instant messages; as well as the Google Maps Navigation application that helps them obtain turn-by-turn directions.

With memory aplenty - the Captivate and Vibrant have 6GB internal storage, while the Epic 4G has a 16GB microSD memory card - the Galaxy S phones provide the perfect platform for Samsung to open up its forthcoming Media Hub, which will enable users to rent or purchase movies and TV shows on their handsets.
