The Egg Safety Center has revealed that following fears of being contaminated with salmonella, around 380 million eggs have been recalled voluntarily till Wednesday.
Most of the infected eggs were found to be produced by Wright County Egg of Galt, as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration.
As told by the Wright County Egg, they initiated the mission to recall the eggs last week, and thus co-operated with FDA's investigation to make voluntary recall. The eggs that were recalled earlier came under the brand names Lucerne, Albertsons, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemps brands, tagged with a three-digit code ranging from 136 to 225 and plant numbers 1026, 1413 and 1946.
The Company is examining the cause of the shell eggs to get tainted.
