IBM and German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies have pronounced the sale of stakes in Altis Semiconductor Altis International, terminating the joint association.
The recently released statement released by firms claims that Altis International is owned by Yazid Sabeg, a French government official who also is the chairman of board of security firm CS Communication & Systems. Both the firms have stated that they have had agreed to vouch for the supply contracts with Altis Semiconductor and will aid in employing the France- developed technology as an important element of silicon foundry that aids in sourcing strategies and as a sub-contractor of wafer test services.
The Altis Semiconductor was employed in France to generate electronic components based on the 0.25-micron aluminum technology and 0.13-micron copper technology, to be employed in communication and security products.
Infineon and IBM who are trying to draw curtains to the joint venture for the past three years seem to have finally been able to do it. The agreement with French entrepreneur has come up with after numerous failed negotiations with firms based in Russia and several parts of Europe.
The financial details of the deal have yet not been stated.
