Engineering software maker Autodesk Inc. has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11 and it has managed to beat all expectations of Wall Street in this quarter under review.
As per the company, the economic recovery has helped the firm is registering a superior growth in sales figure in all across the world.
The San Rafael-based company Autodesk has posted revenue of $472.8 million for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010 which is almost 14% of the net profit figure of the similar quarter in the last fiscal. The company has registered a net profit of $414.9 million in the same quarter in the previous year.
Earlier market analysts had predicted that the company's revenue will be of $459 million but Autodesk Inc. has managed to beat that figure.
The net income of the company has gone up $59.9 million or 25 cents per share during the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2010-11. It was 10.5million or 5 cents per share for the same quarter in the preceding year.
