It has been stated by the nation’s tourism board that most of the people nowadays prefer to buy property in New Zealand because of its natural environment and slow pace of life.
Gregg Anderson, General Manager of western long haul markets for Tourism New Zealand, said Brits choose to live in a country like New Zealand simply because of its amazing lifestyle.
Mr. Anderson said that most of the people still prefer to live in places where they get lot of business opportunities, while others are attracted to the places where the population is less and pace of life is slow.
“We are also seeing Brits settling in places like the Hawke's Bay and Wanaka”, Mr. Anderson added. He also notified that these are the places where people often visit to enjoy the holidays.
Lonely Planet says that most of the travellers in New Zealand enjoy open-air activities and bungee-jumping is rated as the seventh most popular outdoor activity.
Mr. Anderson has also mentioned about the places where most of the expatriate medical insurance policyholders prefer to live, including Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch, Auckland and Nelson.
It has been found by the Lonely Planet Awards that 14.35% of British people would like to take up the expatriate lifestyle in New Zealand.
