Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, has asserted in an interview that the Pentagon was the mind behind the fraudulent allegation of rape against him in a case which was subsequently let goes by the Swedish Prosecutors.
Assange was reported claiming that he never had any non-consensual sexual relations with anyone and was traumatized by the accusations.
Though he said that he was not aware of who was plotting this against him, yet he confirmed of prior warnings which indicated that Pentagon could use such tricks to jeopardize the potentials of Wikileaks.
He was greatly concerned despite the withdrawal of the warrant as this instance could very well be used to inflict damage to Wikileaks. It was affirmed by the prosecutors that though he was no more a suspect of rape and thus not required for any investigation, yet a distinct inquiry into the molestation charge would continue.
Much hue and cry was raised over the duty prosecutor, Maria Haljebo's measures though she herself expressed no compunctions over her decision. Wikileaks is a website which works on secrets papers involving the war in Afghanistan against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda and has already published about 77,000 of these papers.
