$12 Text Plan Introduced in New Zealand By Telecom

To cater better to the growing number of customers who prefer to text, Telecom is all set to introduce a $12 Text Plan, under which users can text as much as they want to for the aforementioned fixed price, to any network across New Zealand.

Christened the Non Stop Text plan, signing up for the same is now open and will go on till January 2010. For registered users, the offer has been, as of now, made available till 2011. The offer is bound by conditions given in the Fair Use Policy. Customers who exceed the average text figures, therefore, will be asked to adjust their usage suitably.

"We're picking this is going to be a very attractive offer for avid texters, in particular", said Telecom spokeswoman Rebecca Earl. But heavy texters are not the only one who will benefit from the plan, believes the company.

In June, Telecom had introduced various new plans on its XT network, under which 150 texts were provided for $6, 600 for $12 and 1500 for $18. Customers currently on any of these plans can easily move over to or incorporate the Non Sop Text plan. It has been speculated that Telecom will soon also be announcing new, more cost and customer friendly plans for mobile broadband.
