HP increases bid for 3Par In order to have an edge over the deal of Dell for 3Par Inc, HP is said to have increased its bid. It will now be paying $1.8 billion more for the storage company.

HP's bid for 3Par is $27 per share, which is 11 per cent higher than Dell. The offer that it has made is $24.30 per share.

After the two companies have increased their bids, the total amount for the bid is now nine times higher than 3Par. It has lost money constantly for around two years.

Meanwhile, experts see the increased bids as the desperation of the two companies to have a share in the revenue of 3Par. With this takeover, the two companies are trying to expand their presence in the PC market and also so that they can go beyond thus this area.

3Par into the business of making both hardware and software that makes it cheaper to store information.

But the question that the experts are asking is whether the deal is worth the fight between the two companies.

After HP had announced its latest bid, the shares of 3Par jumped up by 6.6 per cent.
