The regulation passed by district judge barring embryonic stem cells from being used for research purposes has given rise to confusion in this field of rewarding medical study.
The researchers are waiting for an appeal by the Obama run government. This restriction in the research has been described as an irreparable blow that could lead man back to the beginning of the pursuit for the new techniques of treatment.
This ruling has led to hysteria among scientists all over the world who are facing tremendous difficulties in discriminating the experiments which would needed to be paused due to the unavailability of embryonic stem cells until the fight in the court is concluded.
Many of these experiments are with the aim to find out treatments for diseases like Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injuries and other diseases of this kind.
This particular cell being given so much importance since it has the capacity to develop into any tissue of the body. The only sigh of relief for certain scientists is that the NIH has declared that the researchers who have already received the funding will carry on with their work while others will have to wait since no new money will be allocated.
