Suzuki to unveil Kizashi Sport and new Swift at Paris Motor Show

Suzuki to unveil Kizashi Sport and new Swift at Paris Motor Show At the Paris Motor Show scheduled next month, Suzuki will likely unveil the Kizashi Sport model – with the debut of the Euro-spec vehicle following the debut of the US-spec model unveiled at the New York Motor Show.

The key features of the US model of Kizashi include 18-inch, lightweight alloy wheels; a 10mm lower ride height; a honeycomb lower grille; somewhat different front bumper; side skirts; and a boot lid spoiler. On the inside, the vehicle boasts a steering wheel with perforated leather; and leather seats with complementary stitching and aluminum accents.

Other than the Kizashi Sport model, Suzuki will also probably debut one of its most intriguing new models – the all-new Swift hatchback - at the Paris Auto Show. The car, though fairly similar to its predecessor, will feature a striking new underneath and inside.

The new Swift, which was earlier unveiled in Japan last week, will be on sale in Europe this fall; though there are, thus far, no indications of the model’s likely arrival at the US dealerships this year.

Following Suzuki’s sportier, more upscale look – which the company effectively established with the 2010 Kizashi sedan – the new Swift model is nearly about 151 inches long and includes Engine Auto Start Stop to save fuel in stop-and-go driving.

The new Swift, which Suzuki intends offering with front- and all-wheel drive, will initially feature a 94-hp, 1.2-liter gasoline engine and a 74-hp, 1.2-liter turbo-diesel – both the engines to come with a five-speed manual.
