The Northern Leeward Islands in the Caribbean was devastated this Monday by the hurricane known by the name of Earl which was potential of turning into an enormous hurricane of the 3rd category that could have brushed away the entire US East Coastline within the following few days.
With a speed of approximately 110 mph, this hurricane was very close to taking the shape of a hurricane of a massive nature as it was driven by the tendency to sway towards the northeast region and cross the eastern parts of North Carolina over the Cape Hatteras in the subsequent days to come.
The eastern shoreline was advised to take close notice and observe the Earl carefully.
Looking at the present route taken by the hurricane, it can be stated that the region already suffering from the Gulf of Mexico oil spills will be safe from the dangers of the Earl. While it battered the most of the northern parts of the Leeward Island with torrential rains, storms and waves, the low lying regions in Antigua seemed to be the worst affected by this hurricane.
