On Sunday morning, determining a man’s dead body from the Otara Town Centre car park in South Auckland early in the morning, Police have arrested a man in connection.
Wretchedly conveying the identity of the medium to heavily built Polynesian man, in his late 20s to 30s with a bushy goatee as a mystery, Police is encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
Silently, Police considers that dead man was involved in the fight appeared shortly beforehand. Henceforth, charged a 33-year-old man with stabbing and he will appear in the Manukau District Court on Monday.
In addition, Police is waiting for the post mortem examination, due on Sunday, which is likely to become efficient aspect to proceed with the investigation and crop up with additional charges.
Scrutinizing that man may not have started the fight that led to his death, it has been stated that "From what we know at this early stage, it doesn't appear he started the fight. But ... we are still seeking witnesses because we only know a very small part of it and there may well be a lot more to the story than we currently know", said Peter Jones, a Senior Detective Sergeant.
Since there were no weapons found, Jones is skeptical about the several possibilities, including one where an alcohol-fueled fight developed, punches were thrown and the man fell and hit his head.
The terrified shopkeepers in the area are now anxious about their safety, positioning the late night fights and screeches between different Polynesian groups. Consequently, seeking for aid from Police, before now aware of the fights and disturbances in the area.
